Have you heard the geocaching term SWAG, and are wondering what it means? SWAG is an acronym for Stuff We All Get. It applies to the trade items that are found inside traditional geocaching containers such as an ammo box or Lock & Lock.
Rooting through the loot at the bottom of the can is like finding a buried treasure and finding swag is fun. It is sure to bring a smile to your face, especially if you are geocaching with children.
When finding a geocaching container with “swag”, you are welcome to take the items as long as you trade or exchange them with items of equal or greater value. These items may be trinkets, signature items from a geocacher, geocoins, or travel bugs.
It’s okay to recycle items for trade that you have around the house such as small toys, but be sure your trade is a fair one. If you run out of things at home, the Dollar Store is a great place to purchase fun trinkets for trading in geocaching containers.
The Buccaneers will always try to leave some loot for you landwalkers behind in the form of our Cursed Coins.
